meet tom.

After a decade in the business, I’ve been lucky enough to shoot a lot of images in some incredible places. Work for some wonderful clients with a whole host of fantastic people. I’ve been cold, wet and uncomfortable for more hours than I can count. I’ve been infested by penguin fleas, had a few scary moments in waders (holding very expensive cameras) and built some great camera rigs with nothing more than my Leatherman, cable ties and a fair amount of Gaffers tape!

As a wildlife photographer I of course love being in the outdoors, but for myself, it’s the challenge of finding a new angle on a subject that gets me going. It might take me a few months with a camera trap rig, or require me to get waist deep in the freezing water, but if there is a cool shot to be had, I’m down for whatever it takes!

Over the last ten years my work has featured in flagship publications, I’ve shot for tourist boards, and had images awarded in international competitions. At 25 I was welcomed into the Nikon team as an Ambassador, a true honour that to this day I still pinch myself about.

I’ve had the pleasure to speak at many events about my work (You can find more about me as a speaker here) and also run the odd workshop. For years I have been running a YouTube channel where I share skills and advice as well as presenting online content for the liked of Wex Photo video and Nikon.

When I’m not working you’ll find me exploring with my partner Debs and gorgeous little dog Addy, enjoying a pub, pie and on the odd occasion a Pina-collada….although almost always with a camera somewhere close by!

I look forward to meeting you and working together.

Tom.
